What is Extract Excel Sheets?
A workbook often mixes sheets meant for different people: raw data, calculations, a summary for management. This tool opens .xlsx, .xls, .xlsm, .ods and .csv files locally, lists every sheet as a toggle button and copies the ones you select into a new, standalone .xlsx workbook.
The first selected sheet is previewed as a table, and a summary shows the rows and columns of every selected sheet. Values and number formats such as dates and currencies are kept; formulas are never executed and macros, charts and images stay behind, so what you share contains data only.
How does it work?
- Drop the workbook (up to 50 MB) on the drop zone; every sheet appears as a toggle button.
- Tick the sheets to extract. Until you choose, the first sheet is selected.
- Check the preview and the rows × columns of each selected sheet.
- Download the single workbook with all selected sheets, or tick "one file per sheet" to also get a separate .xlsx for each.

Privacy
Extract Excel Sheets runs entirely in your browser. The text or files you provide are processed on your device and are not uploaded, logged or stored on our servers.
Limitations
Only values and number formats are kept: formulas, styles, charts, images, defined names and macros are dropped. Sheet names in the result follow Excel rules (31 characters, no [ ] : * ? / \).
Frequently asked questions
Can I extract several sheets into one workbook?
Yes. Toggle as many sheets as you like: they are copied, in their original order, into a single .xlsx. Tick the per-sheet option if you also want one separate file for each of them.
What happens to formulas that refer to another sheet?
Formulas are not carried over. Each cell keeps the value that was last calculated, so nothing breaks when the sheet it referred to is no longer in the file.
Are hidden sheets listed?
Yes, they appear on the toggle list marked as hidden. If you select one, it is exported as a normal visible sheet.
